Congregational Meeting - Women's Fellowship

The theme of this year's ladies fellowship is "Strengthening each other's hands in God" and our verse is from Hebrews 3:12-14:

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end.

We began the year in the summer with a ladies fellowship kick-off; four ladies shared a brief testimony that brought encouragement to all. In September we launched a book study and four groups of 5-8 women began working through the book Theological Fitnessby Aimee Byrd. We chose not to have monthly speakers at our fellowship on Monday's in the hope that as the book studies began more intimate friendships and spiritual growth would take place. This would leave the monthly gatherings for more corporate fellowship involving a prepared meal, conversation and prayer. Some of the highlights from our monthly fellowships include: Lucy Leaman & Emily Lyro shared about being a pastor's wife for pastor appreciation month; an art project prepared by a few of the younger ladies for our November fellowship; and, Leah Leaman spoke at our January fellowship. Over the next five months we will continue our book studies in order to finish by May.
