Congregational Meeting - Pastoral

The Lord was good to us in 2016, as he is every year.  It was such a blessing to see all that the Lord did in the lives of our congregation.  Our average attendance through December was 142 people for the Sunday morning service (it was 135 in 2016).  On an average Sunday, there are 12 cities and 5 counties represented in our sanctuary.  42 people served on a regular basis in the various activities of the church.  We welcomed 7 new families into membership and the Nearhoods and Ruth Yepez moved away.

2016's Vacation Bible School theme was "Running the Race."  Over 50 children attended, of which quite a few were unchurched.  Our Mother/Daughter banquet was a hit again this year.  This year we instituted the office intern program in order to evaluate men for the several offices in the church.

As we look forward to 2017, I pray that the Lord would enable us to keep pressing toward Christ.  It is my greatest desire that we make this year the year of transformation.  A year in which we are transformed by the grace of God into people who are continually growing more to be like our Savior and who are continually growing in love with each other.
