MEMORY WORK: This Week's Catechism Questions (10/7/18)

This Week's Memory Work: 

First Catechism Questions:  
FC 126 – What sign is used in baptism? Washing with water. 
FC 127 – What does this washing with water represent? Union with Christ by cleansing through his blood. 
FC 128 – In whose name are you baptized? In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. 
FC 129 – Who are to be baptized? Believers and their children. 
FC 130 – Why are we baptized even as little infants? Because God's command to Abraham is obeyed in
our baptism. 
FC 131 – What did Jesus say about little children? "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." 
FC 132 – What does your baptism call you to be? A true follower of Christ.

Shorter Catechism Questions:  
WSC 106 – What do we pray for in the sixth petition? In the sixth petition, which is, do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one, we pray that God would either keep us from being tempted to sin, or support and deliver us when we are tempted.
