This Week's Memory Work: First Catechism Questions:
FC 118 – What do we pray fifth? "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors."
FC 119 – What does it mean to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors"? We are asking God to forgive our sins for Christ's sake, and to make us willing to forgive others.
Shorter Catechism Questions:
WSC 102 – What do we pray for in the second petition? In the second petition, which is, Your kingdom come, we pray that Satan's kingdom may be destroyed; and that the kingdom of grace may be advanced, ourselves and others brought into it, and kept in it; and that the kingdom of glory may be hastened.
