Christ Is Risen Indeed! 1 Cor. 15:12-28

Introduction – The resurrection is more than an academic issue.  It is a matter of life and death, eternal life or death, your eternal life or death.

        I.             The Result of Repudiating the Resurrection, both Christ's and Ours, 12-19.
A.   The Gospel includes the resurrection, 12a.
B.   To deny the resurrection is to deny the Christian faith, 12b-19.
C.   To deny the resurrection is to deny that there is any meaning to this life, 19.
D.  Unbeliever, you should be in utter despair.

        II.          But Now Christ Is Risen Indeed, 20-28.
A.   "But now" are beautiful words to the ears of the sinner who is under conviction of the Holy Spirit, 20a.
B.    Christ's resurrection points to the resurrection of all believers at the last day, 20b-24.
C.   We live now in the hope of our resurrection at the last day, 23-24.

Conclusion

The history of the world could be retold as the history of the defeat of death.
